Twenty years ago Matthew Nelson came
to Boston with a desire to train young people in the
trades. Having grown up in rural upstate New York,
he knew how to work hard, but most of all he knew
how to be inventive and problem solve. Plumbing work
appeals to him because it constantly presents interesting
hard to solve dilemmas. He began NWPH in 1984 after
apprenticing at East Cambridge Plumbing and Heating
and Marini Plumbing in Quincy and Low Income Housing
Corp. in the Back Bay. Driving a weathered and worn
van full of tools, Matt worked on each project as
if it was his own property. His integrity and honesty
earned him a loyal customer base and the company continues
to grow, as he has been able to bring on board like-minded
men and skilled tradesmen.
Narrow Way Plumbing and Heating stands out in its
philosophical base toward people and work. We consider
honesty and integrity to our customers and to one
another key to the happiness and success of our work.
We are a company that values our men and the honest
and diligent hard skilled work they put forth consistently
every day consistently. We put family first by being
flexible in our work schedules and seeking to compensate
our team members fairly. We recognize each employee's
potential and seek to train each team member to his
or her highest potential and skill. We seek to service
our community health needs professionally and efficiently,
making high quality plumbing and heating services
available across the economic spectrum. We encourage
homeowners to understand their homes and know how
to manage basic household emergencies saving them
time and money. We provide community-training programs
for homeowners to learn how to successfully accomplish
basic repairs as well as know when to call in a professional.
Doing quality work and giving quality advice is the
hallmark by which Narrow Way Plumbing and Heating
wants to be known.
Our company slogan states: There Is
A Right Way
The Narrow Way!
